Emerging Segments Remote Positions Salaried / Full-Time About
Denali Denali is the nation’s largest organics recycler, partnering
with leading retailers, food producers, and municipalities to

the U.S. The Opportunity Denali is seeking a Director Strategic
Retail Sales for the Emerging Segments (Retail non-grocery)
business unit. This is a high-impact business development role
focused on building and expanding complex partnerships with
multiple verticals outside the grocery space that have an
opportunity to engage in organic recycling. Verticals of focus
include but are not limited to Sports & Entertainment, Education,
Healthcare, Hotels and Hospitality, Corporate Sustainability
programs, Event Venues, Restaurants, and Food Distribution.
Experience in any of these verticals is highly valued but not
required. You will own the strategic sales cycle—from identifying
opportunities to closing transformative deals—while positioning
Denali as a trusted, long-term sustainability partner. We’re
looking for a driven, polished, and resourceful
professional—someone who thrives in enterprise environments,
navigates layered buying committees with ease, and pursues growth
with focus and tenacity, all while embodying professionalism and
partnership. Top of Form Bottom of Form Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and drive a focused
sales strategy for targeting and closing high-value partnerships in
the retail grocery sector. Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales
cycles with long lead times, from prospecting through negotiation
and close. Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored
proposals that align Denali’s solutions with client sustainability
and operational goals. Client Engagement & Thought Leadership Build
and sustain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers
(Director, VP, C-suite) at target retailers. Serve as a subject
matter expert on Denali’s capabilities and the broader food waste
and sustainability landscape. Deliver compelling presentations and
business cases to influence executive-level decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Legal,
Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution of deals
and alignment across the organization. Provide real-time market
intelligence and customer insights to inform strategy, innovation,
and go-to-market priorities. Market Expansion & Intelligence Stay
ahead of trends in food retail, waste regulation, and
sustainability mandates. Identify whitespace and greenspace
opportunities for Denali to grow its footprint in both new and
