Lewisville, TXHAY LEVEL: NGSTATUS: Full-time, non-exempt PRIMARY
FUNCTION:Under direction from the Distribution Supervisor, performs
general duties such as: taping, labeling, and adding dunnage to all
orders on the shipping line. In addition, he or she is responsible
for loading outgoing shipments in the delivery truck in accordance
with established service criteria and Company policies.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for taping orders, labeling
orders, adding dunnage material to orders, ensuring that labels are
adhering to shipments properlyResponsible for loading product boxes
to the appropriate outgoing trucks in a manner that maximizes space
and minimizes damage to product. Maintaining a damaged return rate
of less than .5%Performs pre and post packing responsibilities
(i.e. box assembly and disassembly)Maintains the shipping area in a
neat and orderly fashionActs as back-up assistance to other areas
of the distribution area, as neededHousekeeping duties such as
sweeping and general clean-upMust be available to work occasional
Saturdays and overtime during the weekdays as needed with minimum
notice.TRAVEL: None All other duties are as
assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
desirableEXPERIENCE: 3-6 Months of similar experience
desiredSKILLS: Ability to lift repetitively loads of 25 -40 lbs.
Ability to work independently within established parameters.
Frequent bending and lifting above your head is necessary for this
position. OTHER: Although we work in a climate controlled
warehouse, the truck temperature can sometimes be hotter or colder
due to the fact that it's technically outside. Our highest order
volume is during the end of the month and beginning of the month.
In these weeks we may need you to work overtime. In the middle of
the month you will most likely work a regular shift of 8 hours.
