Successful applicants will demonstrate individual creativity in addressing challenges and opportunities while working within a supportive team to develop industry-leading solutions for the medium- and heavy-duty truck industry.Position SummaryPACCAR's Embedded Engineering department has an opening for a functional application engineer for the project management tool Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) within the IBM Jazz tool suite. This position requires a candidate with a background in project management tools, familiarity with product change management, and the ability to administer IBM Jazz. The candidate should also understand the concept of work item types and managing work item attributes during the project development process. The candidate needs to be able to work across multiple projects and teams, working with various teams across PACCAR to support their workflow needs. The position will work with other functional application managers across PACCAR to assure global alignment of EWM tool usage.Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • IBM EWM functional application administration for PACCAR
  • Work closely with Embedded Engineering Lead Process Engineer in support of Global Configuration plans
  • Work on a day-to-day basis with PACCAR Embedded System Development Team leads and Managers
  • Help develop a strategy for Engineering Workflow Management traceability to DNG artifacts
  • Work closely with functional application management counterparts to insure global alignment of tool usage and processes, as well as other IBM Jazz tool suite usage, within PACCAR
  • Participate in coordination meetings with all project leads regarding project planning and work item tracking
  • Support Product Change Management processes
  • Responsible for managing access privileges for users in project areas
  • Participate in weekly Global Tool suite alignment meetingsQualifications & Skills
    • Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science required
      • Experience with Agile Development practices
      • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
      • Able to work in a team environment where multiple active projects require effective coordination of multiple concurrent tasks
      • Desired:
        • Experience with Workflow tools (DNG, RTC, Jama, Rhapsody, Quality Center)
        • 1+ years in software development testing/requirements management systems
        • Understanding of truck design and application as it impacts electrical/electronic systems, architecture, and software-driven functionality
        • Able to learn and use new processes and techniques and resourcefully solve complex technical issues
