Job Description:
The Member Service Specialist is responsible for assisting
members with their immediate needs. This may include, but not
limited to, giving information on the facility, products and
services, assisting with reservations, and collecting
payments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and
maintaining effective and friendly working relationships with
staff, members, guests and dealing with conflict effectively,
courteously, and tactfullyResponding to member questions and needs
via phone, email and in personProviding excellent customer
serviceDealing with conflict effectively, courteously, and
tactfullyAccepting and reconciling daily cash, credit and check
payments, and following up with past due balancesRoutine
administrative tasks including office leasingProvide information on
marina products and servicesAvailable to work overtime when
requiredOther duties as assigned by ManagerSafety and Environmental
ResponsibilitiesFollow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and
complete required related trainingWear proper personal protective
equipment as required for the task or work areaReport all
accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediatelyTechnical
and Physical RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent
preferredPrior marina experience preferredPrevious customer service
experience preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to sit
for long periods of timeAbility to lift 10 poundsMinimum Soft Skill
