Come to Allegiance. POSITION DESCRIPTION :The Accounts Payable Specialist effectively manage accounting accuracy, unit processing and personnel development in support of the dealership. This position is located in Lewisville, TX. We prefer candidates from the local area as this is not a remote opportunity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms Process check requests Audit and process credit card bills Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly 1099 maintenance Respond to all vendor inquiries Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Assist in month end closing Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Assist with other projects as needed POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree required Some college accounting is preferred Strong general ledger and account reconciliation knowledge Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting department environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting packages is desirable Experience with the ADP/CDK dealership accounting is desirable Attention to Detail, Thoroughness Data Entry Skills Research and Analysis Skills Limited Travel may be required.
