Job Description

Job Title: AR Maintenance Department: Lab Common

Reports To: Maintenance Manager Location: IMC Central Facility

Prepared By: Human Resources Status: Full Time - Hourly

Prepared Date: September 5, 2014 Job Classification: Non - Exempt

Work Hours: Monday through Friday. Must be willing to work extended hours, and work some weekends or holidays based on business needs

Plant Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts (Schedules and shift assignments may be subject to change based upon business needs)

Crew 1 = 6:00am to 6:00pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)

6:00am to 12:00pm (Wednesday)

Crew 2 = 12:00pm to 6:00pm (Wednesday)

6:00am to 6:00pm (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Crew 3 = 6:00am to 6:00pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)

6:00am to 12:00pm (Wednesday)

Crew 4 = 12:00pm to 6:00pm (Wednesday)

6:00am to 6:00pm (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall direction, and coordination of maintenance performed for all Hi-Vision equipment. Adhere to all operation and safety SOPs. Verifies that equipment is maintain properly, PM and calibrations are performed as scheduled. Perform installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping and electrical systems as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for maintaining Hi-Vision equipment in optimal condition

  • Maintains and Repairs equipment. Delegates or requests assistance as needed.

  • Makes sure Preventive Maintenance is performed as schedule and doesn't allow equipment to be kept in poor condition

  • Develops plans to reduce downtime of Hi-Vision equipment

  • Communicates company policies and train employees, and enforces safety regulations

  • Plans and directs the employee training required to stay abreast of new product introduction

  • Monitors and assists Maintenance Manger to control department costs

  • Will be required to rotate hours throughout the year to spend time with all crews

  • Controls spare parts and consumables inventory for Hi-Vision center

  • Assists in maintenance and disposal of Hazardous Waste Materials from Hi-Vision Center

  • Strictly follows SOPs and safety guidelines when performing any task on equipment

  • Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors, other maintenance personnel, or engineering to diagnose problems or determine machine repairs.

  • Perform Equipment Preventive Maintenance and repairs

  • Install new equipment or replacement parts.

  • Troubleshoots equipment

  • Maintains work stations, equipment, equipment areas, and tools neatly organized and clean. Makes sure all maintenance staff follows same guide lines

  • Must follow all safety requirements and make sure all maintenance staff follows all safety requirements

  • Receives new part inventory and consumables, and put them in correct inventory location

  • Assists to maintain appropriate inventory levels of spare parts

  • Assists with some building maintenance as required

  • Assists Maintenance crew in other areas of the lab

  • Assists other HOYA labs troubleshoot Hi-Vision equipment

  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Associate or bachelor's degree on Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related engineering field required.

Experience

  • Two years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities

  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance techniques and practices

  • Ability to work with Computer/Electrical Controlled equipment

  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to read technical documents and manuals and extract information for required repairs of equipment

  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

  • Respond to emergencies as required; coordinate activities with other responders; identify and coordinate resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety of the facility

  • Knowledge of safety equipment and practices related to the work, including the handling of hazardous chemicals and lock-out/tag-out procedures

  • Able and willing to work as a team

  • Must be able to work Overtime, and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays when needed

  • Must be able to maintain work area clean and tools organized

  • Work without supervision

  • Able and willing to work as a team

  • Basic Math

  • Able to read and write English Language well

  • Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately

  • Basic Computer skills (Windows, MS Office)

  • Problem solving skills
