We are currently interviewing and hiring for remote DE Underwriters to join our team. Our company was established in 2002, today we've grown to a full-service mortgage lender with more than 30 locations. On average, we fund $2 billion in mortgage loans every year and service home buyers across 17 state lines.To date, we've funded 130,000+ loans, $21.4 billion in mortgages with 72% of purchases/28% refi.What You Will Be DoingPosition SummaryThe Underwriter is an experienced mortgage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on quality of work and customer service to our internal clients.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Underwriter reports to the Underwriting Manager. The Underwriter also works closely with processors to determine if a potential clients risk factors allow the company to insure him or her.Evaluate and verify loan application/applicant data to determine if the client has the capacity to repay the mortgage loan according to investor/agency guidelinesManage Approval and Condition Queue to maintain company published service standardsPublish Underwriting Dispositions, clear conditions, analyze Change RequestsAnalyze risk as it relates to investment quality loansMaintain complete knowledge of underwriting guidelinesComplete computer data entry as needed; i.e. Encompass, AUS systems, etc.Communicate with originator, per service standards; answer underwriting and product questionsComplete Underwriting Certifications, as necessaryComplete and deliver work product with highest degree of customer service and accuracyQualificationsMinimum 1 year as an Underwriter IIStrong computer skills using Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with Encompass preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact and assist all levels of personnelAbility to work in a team environment as well as independentlyCollege Degree Preferred, But Not RequiredAbility to work with cross-functional, multi-cultural teamsWhat You Need for this Position* DE Underwriter* Mortgage* FHA* Conventional home loan* EncompassSo, if you are a DE Underwriters with experience, please apply today!Email Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
