Monitor and assist with the set up and operation of a wide range of production equipment and operations to maintain workflow. Give daily direction, ensure proper training of associates, and ensure associates are working safely, following all quality requirements and all hourly targets are adhered to.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Work from work orders, manuals, charts and instructions.* Monitor the setup of line stations; provide assistance and direction as required.* Assist to direct the set up and operation of decoiler station, roll former shapes, assembly table, scissor lifts, molding saws, finishing area, heaters and similar operating equipment and controls.* Monitor and address quality related issues.* Ensure standard work is updated and followed per workstation* Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment and operating problems. Work with maintenance to address equipment issues.* Train, instruct, assign and check the work of operators on assigned line and eliminate operating problems.* Prepare and submit production reports.* Demonstrate a track record of safe work performances. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.* Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.* Communicate respectfully and build a motivated, energized team environment.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:Fork lift truck, hand tools, micrometer and gauges, saws, router, overhead crane.REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION:* 2+ years of team lead experience or similar* High School education or equivalent* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)* Able to stand/walk carry 10 - 12 hrs.* Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted* Dependable, punctual, detail oriented, strong communication skills-verbal and written.* Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations.* Ability to follow Supervisors instructions/directions as given.* Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication, leadership and initiative.* Ability to provide leadership in the areas of communication, conflict resolution and problem solving* Ability to drive continuous improvement (demonstrate initiative and follow through)* Demonstrated ability to work and motivate associates and have a strong attention to details
