Job Description:
Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network
software or specialized utility programs. Develop and maintain
applications. Develop technical documentation to define the system
components, development environment and implementation
planning/strategies. Collaborate with team members, project
managers, and project owners in conceptualizing, estimating and
developing existing application enhancements and new applications.
Collaborate with QA team to define test cases, metrics, and resolve
questions about test results. Assist in the definition of software
development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing
time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans.
Create knowledge base articles of the product and case studies.
Develop and implement solutions in accordance with policies and
procedures. Assist in the definition, development, and
documentation of software’s objectives, business requirements,
deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with internal
users and departments. Recommend business process flow improvements
and clearly communicate problem/resolution process to project
management. Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a
related field followed by six years of progressive
post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or six years of
progressive post-baccalaureate experience in any occupation in
which the required experience was gained. Experience must include
six years of experience in each of the following: 1. Developing,
implementing and maintaining applications built on Oracle and
PostgreSQL databases. 2. Designing, developing, testing, analyzing
and maintaining new software applications to meet business
requirements. 3. Writing scripts for data ingestion and extraction
using Unix, Python, and PL/SQL. 4. Implementing performance tuning
strategies for databases and applications to improve efficiency. 5.
Integrating and optimizing systems through existing applications
using AWS services. 6. Automating software build and deployment
pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins. 7. Defining and maintaining
source code repositories using GIT/TFS. 8. Developing
database-driven web applications with a focus on scalability and
performance. 9. Utilizing Agile methodologies for effective
software development and delivery. 10. Monitoring, troubleshooting,
and optimizing system performance and reliability using tools such
as Elastic Beanstalk, Dynatrace. Required to work from Company
Office (Irving, TX) certain days per week. Telecommuting allowed
for balance of week.
