Duration: Long-term contract with option to hire
Hours: Sunday-Wednesday 5am-3pm
Education/Experience Required: Associate degree or 4 years
apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Robotics, Mechanical
or Electrical field
Job Description:
The MS-SA Advanced Technology Service Specialist (ATS Specialist)
works within designated Service Advantage Partner locations as the
specialist on-site Service Technician. Services and repairs a
variety of Partner sold equipment at customer locations, generally
within a specific geographic area. The ATS Specialist will have the
ability to manage Modular Control Systems, Partner Structure,
perform Bot and Workstation Maintenance, manage priorities on all
daily activities. Demonstrates technical expertise and provides a
full range of servicing and repair following Partner agreed
Standard Operating Procedures. Work with Partner Support team to
proactively identify issue impacting Operations and address them
during planned downtime windows. The overall job function will be
to perform at a subject matter expert (SME) level of
competency.
Responsibilities: Provides front-line servicing and repair of a
core set of highly complex bot and workstation products.
Responsible for maintaining automated systems and software-based
control systems, electrical and electronic principles.
Utilize hands-on support with electro-mechanical aptitude and a
familiarity with Linux and command line to support Partner
products.
Provides Partner level direct communications and interaction to
support Service Advantage deal while adhering to established
processes.
Required to performs other duties related to Partner Support as
assigned.
Demonstrates technical expertise and provides specialist
services:
Performs a full range of servicing and repair service procedures
including diagnostics, installation, preventative maintenance,
removal, and retrofits on a core set of highly complex
products.
Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned
products and level assignment.
Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.
Reviews all technical information pertaining to supported products,
including new and updated information as it becomes available.
Provides advanced training: Conducts OJT (On-the-Job-Training) for
new and experienced technicians as required.
Conducts technical seminars as required.
A positive influence/champion within the team/organization.
Proactively seeks ways to improve things.
Skills & Qualifications: Associate degree or 4 years apprenticeship
or equivalent experience in the Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical
field
Serves as a role model and always exhibits professional appearance
and behavior, under the most difficult situations.
Experience and proficiency in the following areas: Automated
systems and software-based controls.
Electrical and electronic principles.
Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL,
and database administration.
Blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
programs.
Preventative maintenance procedures.
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs.
Industrial PC literacy.
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage is
reimbursed)
Preferred Qualifications: Degree from a vocational school or
college with a focus in the Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical
fields.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different
projects and workload.
Ability to work independently.
A degree of physical dexterity.
Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with
peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
Must be highly self-motivated and customer centric.
Leadership experience/aptitude, ability to mentor and develop
training plans for other service technicians.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Requires an excellent working
knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and electronics.
Requires expert knowledge of assigned equipment.
Skilled methodical approach to resolving problems.
Possesses strong interpersonal and verbal communications
skills.
Excellent customer service skills including ability to follow up to
ensure closure of issues.
Skilled ability to read and comprehend written technical
information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and
relevant publications.
Working Conditions & Phsyical Demands: Typically works in a
warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and
normal range of temperature and noise.
Variable shifts may also be required to meet Partners' needs as
encountered/defined, overtime may be required.
Requires a regular use of a variety of tools.
May be required to move objects on wheels up to 400 pounds and be
able to lift and carry objects that weight up to 50 pounds.
Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling are required to
service equipment at floor level, on racks, or above shoulder
height using a ladder.
Overnight Travel may be required to attend, or in some cases
provide, training for vendor specific equipment and devices.
Overnight travel should be rare.
