This Payroll Administrator opportunity is located in Lewisville, Texas and is a long-term role. Major responsibilities - Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies - Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence - Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data - Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary - Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines - Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Handle other duties as necessary - Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages - Help payroll manage all internal and external audits - Exercise review and verification of source documents - Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information - 2+ years of strong payroll experience - Certified Payroll detail oriented designation favored - Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular - Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Time Cards experience - Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Prior experience working with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills - Expertise with internal controls
