Job Summary and Qualifications The EMS Specialist collaborates with the EMS Manager to support and enhance Medical City Plano’s EMS Medical Control program. This role involves developing and delivering educational programs for EMS agencies, maintaining proficiency in EMS protocols and skills, conducting field evaluations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The specialist serves as a liaison to EMS providers, performs patient care report reviews, and assists with performance improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include utilizing online education platforms, supporting mass casualty preparedness, and acting as a resource for EMS personnel. Strong communication, leadership, and technical skills are essential for success in this role. What qualifications you will need: Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted, Associate Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP) or Paramedic (EMT-P) Previous clinical experience in ED, ICU or CCU, and EMS experience preferred Experience in EMS, nursing education, card courses a plus BLS and ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of hire EMS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of hire Medical City Plano opened in 1975 and provides Plano and Collin County with advanced health care.
