Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Physical Medicine Tech to join our team of healthcare professionals. In this vital role, you will support physical therapists and assist patients in managing and recovering from their physical ailments, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life. This position requires a compassionate individual who is skilled in physical therapy techniques and patient care, adapting to the unique needs of each patient to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals. Assist physical therapists in the preparation and execution of treatment plans. Help patients with exercises and the use of various physical therapy equipment. Monitor patient progress and report on their response to treatment. Maintain equipment and ensure treatment areas are clean and organized. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and equipment Ability to handle physical demands of assisting patients Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and observational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) is advantageous. CPR certification required.
