We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Texas beginning Mar 13, 2026. This role requires flexibility to work AM or PM shifts (8am-4pm, 3pm-11pm, or 15-hour shifts), as the sole provider managing all urgent care cases and procedures. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent urgent care experience and be ready to deliver comprehensive care from day one in a fast-paced environment. Job Details - Location: Texas - Start Date: Mar 13, 2026 - LOA: 36 days - Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Flexible 8-hour (8am-4pm or 3pm-11pm) and 15-hour (8am-11pm) shifts; AM or PM shifts required; examples may include 8,8,8 or 8,15,15 or 8,15,8 Responsibilities and Duties - Provide full-scope urgent care services and procedures independently as the sole provider on shift - Manage all urgent care cases with readiness to work without clinical training or onboarding - Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation; charts must be closed by end of shift - Adapt to a dynamic schedule with the ability to work various shift lengths and times Additional Information - Must have at least 2 years of recent urgent care experience - Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas - No clinical training or onboarding provided; immediate proficiency required - Schedule preferences for shift lengths will be considered but not guaranteed Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
