Unlock your potential at Medical City Dallas!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Garland FSED is a full-service emergency room staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. About seven miles from the main Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children's Hospital campus, with 10 private patient treatment rooms, including a trauma room, a full laboratory and a radiology suite with X-ray and CT imaging, on-site lab and blood bank and an EMS lounge for first responders. The ER will treat people of all ages, including pediatric patients.
  What You Will Do In This Role
  • You will quickly access and prioritize incoming patients.
  • You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients.
  • You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
  • You will provide patient education / follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals. What qualifications you will need:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Registered Nurse
    • Associate Degree
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
