RNs on our 18-bed Inpatient Rehab Unit provide care to Med Surg patients needing specialized skilled rehab including stroke, debilitating injury, trauma, orthopedics and COVID. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What you will do in this role:
    • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
    • Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
    • Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
    • Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practiceWhat qualifications you will need:
      • ADN required / BSN preferred
      • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
      • Must have at least one (1) year of Inpatient Rehab or Med Surg RN experience in an acute care hospital (longer stay Med Surg experience may also be considered) This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility.
