Title: Nights- RN NICU - Lewisville, TXSchedule: Fulltime -
Nights (Rotating Weekends) 7pm to 7amPosition Summary:The
Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - RN NICU provides
direct nursing care to patients and their families in accordance
with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the
healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities
include:
Assesses, plans, and implements care
and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonateCarries
out physician ordersAssists physician during examination,
treatment, and proceduresAdministers prescribed medications,
changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signsServes as the
primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient
careMonitors, records, and communicates patient condition as
appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systemsInstructs
and educates patients and familiesAssesses and coordinates
patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
teamProvides age and culturally appropriate careMaintains a safe
and therapeutic patient care environment for at risk infantsOrients
and mentors new staff membersFollows Standard Precautions using
personal protective equipment as required -Licensure/
Certification/Registration:
TX RN license or RN Compact State
LicenseCurrent certification as a BLS and NRP Healthcare Provider
-Education:
Associates Degree in Nursing
required; must enroll within 6 months of hire in a BSN program and
obtain BSN within 36 monthsWith CNO approval: If Candidates do not
have a BSN Degree but have an ADN, they have a Tuition Free ADN to
BSN program here at HCA! - Online takes approx. a year!Experience:
Minimum 2 of years of RECENT
experience in a Level III NICU Acute Care Hospital Setting
Experience with 23 Weekers (How old the premies are - 23 weekers
are usually intubated and 28 weekers are "grower and
feeders".)NEEDED TO COMPLETE 1 YEAR OF INTERNSHIP Salary Range:
$33(1 year of experience) - Mid: $42.92 (10 years of experience) -
Max: $54 (20 years of experience)Up to $15k sign-on bonus $3,000
Relo Shift Differentials: 3.15 for nights and stack on 4.30 for
