• Provides assistance to the therapist in evaluating the clients level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities tests.
• Provides safe and accurate physical therapy services to the client in the client home as prescribed by the physician and under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Completes all clinical records documentation on the day services were performed.
• Provides training and demonstration to client and family members on physical therapy uses and devices applicable to the clients total physical therapy program.
• Demonstrates thorough current knowledge and adherence of state and federal regulations and intermediary guidelines for home health care.
• Manages an assigned caseload of patients; maintains current knowledge of assigned patients conditions, needs, and responses to treatment necessary to provide highest quality of care to client regularly.
• Provides independent care to clients in remote locations.VCGPC
  • Certification as an Physical Therapy Assistant established by the American Physical Therapy Association. Position requires current licensing by the State of Texas as an Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Must have and maintain current valid Texas Drivers License and proof of current liability insurance.
  • Must maintain current certificate in basic life support (CPR).
  • Proof of TB screening within the past 12 months.
  • Requires proficient computer software skills necessary to produce accurate documents and materials. Working knowledge of MS Office necessary.
