Hybrid Work Schedule - RN Desired
Working under general direction, conducts gathering, assessment,
analysis and distribution of product-related adverse event
management for the Mary Kay product line. Provides scientifically
based, product-related technical support and acts as a liaison to
the independent sales force, consumers and medical community.
Performs literature reviews and documentation. Utilizing various
analytical measurement tools, accurately tracks, evaluates, and
reports on product-performance complaints. Develops and implements
appropriate action plans as needed, utilizing investigative
techniques which sustain a low-risk environment.
* Serves as a medical subject matter expert for the Adverse Health
Event Management Program world-wide. Medically evaluates adverse
event reports for possibility of seriousness and expedited
reporting. Authors information to be included in the regulatory
expedited submissions. Personally conducts, as needed customer
health complaints and adverse event investigations and interviews
in a respectful and professional manner that mirrors company
culture and demonstrates company commitment to product safety.
* Utilizes various analytical measurement tools to track, present
and report signaling and trending in adverse events by preparing
and tracking monthly reports. Initiates investigations when
necessary. Interfaces frequently with global personnel, to provide
adverse event training and guidance in collection of adverse
events. Coordinates the most practical solutions for meeting the
requirements in the area of compliance and business. Performs
literature reviews and documents the outcomes. Participates in the
quality management system in post-marketing safety surveillance to
ensure that the department standards are met (training
requirements, implementation of continuous improvement
* Develops and implements appropriate action plans as needed,
utilizing investigative techniques which sustain a low-risk
environment. Generates routine reports to include Annual Product
Review Reports, Personal Care Product Council Reports, Product
Information File report.
* Creates, develops, and provides global technical information and
product knowledge to sales force, end consumers and medical
community in close collaboration with Product Safety, Formulations,
Brand, Sales and Marketing staff (this includes Product Issue
Briefs and Issue Management Statements). Participates in company
sponsored sales force product-related functions, such as Seminar
and Leadership in the Exhibit Booths to educate the independent
sales force on product-related topics.
Skills & Experience
Experience: 5+ years
Field of Experience: Registered Nurse, Pharmacist and 3 years of
Education: Bachelor/University Degree
Education Focus: Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must possess a working knowledge of various survey techniques and
analytical measurement tools in order to track, evaluate and
resolve customer issues and to research the development of new
tools. In addition, a problem-solving skill set is important to
properly evaluate and deliver on the activities related to
potentially high-risk situations.
* Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills in
order to interface with the independent sales force, customers,
other internal departments, and to convert technical information
into layman's terms.
* Must possess PC and Internet skills in order to effectively enter
information into the Company's computer system and to research and
