Job Description:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing
operations across multiple locations, serving as the primary point
of contact between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to
ensure operational goals are met. The role includes identifying
opportunities for process improvements, maintaining a safe and
compliant work environment, and tracking key performance indicators
(KPIs) to monitor cost control, productivity, and service quality.
They also manage operational risks, plan for peak seasons, and
collaborate on special projects while leading the team by providing
direction, training, and fostering a culture of continuous
improvement. This role reports to the Director of Operations and is
part of a management team. The tasks and responsibilities required
of a Supply Chain Manager are outlined below: Managing
multi-location operations involving transportation, warehousing,
inventory, quality assurance, budgeting, and customer service.
Acting as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and operations to
meet goals. Analyzing workflows and customer needs to develop
improvement strategies. Ensuring a safe work environment by
enforcing standards and regulations. Developing operational KPIs
for cost, productivity, accuracy, and service levels. Implementing
safeguards against product loss and managing logistics risks.
Fostering accountability and collaboration within the team. Staying
up to date on industry standards and technologies. Leading and
developing staff through performance management and training.
Ensuring adequate staffing levels and managing peak seasons and
temporary workforces effectively. The skill and qualifications
required for a Supply Chain Manager are outlined below: 10+ years
of experience in distribution and supply chain management for
high-volume customers. Bachelor's degree in business, logistics,
supply chain management, or related field. Demonstrated experience
working in fast-paced environments utilizing automation. Knowledge
of Lean, Six Sigma and/or Kaizen principles and best practices
within manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and project
management skills. Proven leadership experience in the areas of
analytics solution, forecasting and budgeting, and supporting
complex cross-functional teams. Advanced Excel, MS Office,
PowerPoint, Word and Visio. Strong skillset and experience working
with a variety of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Employment
