Job Title: Associate Product Manager

Department: HOYA US Marketing

Reports To: Sr. Product Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

POSITION PURPOSE: The Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting the HOYA Vision Care North America (NA) product team to prepare for and execute product launches as well as maintain the existing portfolio & product life cycle management. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, sales, marketing, and operations to bring new products to market and improve existing products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist, coordinate, and support the execution of the product tactical plans for lens products in HOYA, VISION EASE, PENTAX, Lens Choice, and SEIKO brands for NA.
  • Assist Sr. Product Manager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product launches and discontinuations milestones are defined and tracked (from concept to market execution).
  • Create product technical specifications and assets related to lens products.
  • Work with the NA marketing team to execute marketing materials to support new product launches and existing products.
  • Develop and maintain product claims to support sales collateral and training materials.
  • Create new product setup, manage existing product maintenance in key systems (e.g., JDE and D365), and price changes.
  • Identify and analyze market research, customer, and industry insights to the internal team members and leaders to create visibility and open dialogue around the roadmap and opportunities.
  • Responsible for daily ad hoc product requests, support, and issue resolutions.

    Product Proficiencies - Proficient with products and technologies amongst Hoya Vision Care's key branded products which include H OYA, VISION EASE, PENTAX, Lens Choice, and SEIKO.

    Business Acumen - Must thoroughly understand basic P&L statements and balance sheets. Need basic understanding of "break-even" analysis and ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets.

    Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict professionally by not blaming others; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.

    Written Communication - Demonstrate the ability to produce well written customer & executive facing documents & presentations.

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum of three (3) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated computer skills especially Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
    • Proven experience in product management gained in a fast-paced multi-national environment.
    • Ability to work independently and produce results across multi-functional organizations.
    • Having worked in an international environment is preferred.
    • Preferred to be on-site at HOYA corporate Lewisville, TX headquarters. Remote will be considered for qualified candidates.
