together in support of our customer first vision. Reporting
directly to the President, we are looking for a hands on Director,
Distribution Operations to work at our brand new, state of the art
climate controlled facility located in Lewisville, Texas. The
Director of Distribution Operations directs and develops the
strategic and tactical distribution operations (receiving,
replenishment, order fulfillment and returns processing,
performance measurements). Responsible for setting the strategic
and tactical direction managing distribution operations, logistics,
quality and facility management functions to ensure that excellent
service levels, low transactional costs and superior quality levels
are achieved in all activities related to receiving, product order
handling, shipping, transportation and trade compliance. Consider

- Develop long-range objectives and strategies for the
distribution centers, monitor performance against these objectives
and provide feedback to site direct report(s) and team
members.
- Create standard operating procedures and best practices in
terms of performance monitoring in order to optimize quality and
delivery time.
- Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability,
productivity and efficiency throughout the company's
operations.
- Define information systems requirements to support process
improvements initiates. Integrate the technology, quality,
purchasing and logistics functions to support product and process
excellence.
- Provides leadership, supports, motivates, directs and retains
high-caliber staff.
- Develop and implement ongoing staff performance and career
development programs.
- Strive to achieve world-class supply chain, warehousing,
forward and reverse logistics operations.
- Promotes "total customer satisfaction" (delivery, quality etc.)
within all Operations teams.
- Directs the trade compliance team to ensure compliance with
import/export requirements and ensures ongoing FTZ
certification.
- Directs the company's initiatives, in relation to their area of
responsibility, in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
prepared for emergency situations. This responsibility requires
input in the development and implementation of the emergency,
safety, and environmental response programs.
- Manage logistics and outbound transportation processes.
Implement improved processes and management methods to generate
higher ROI and workflow optimization.
- Continually investigate and introduce process improvement
measures.
- Develop and manage annual operations budgets.
- When necessary, develop and direct the management of the
company's remote fulfillment/distribution center(s) that will
ensure, cost-efficient shipping direct to customers and effective
processing of returns.
- Interact regularly with executive team and individual
department heads to ensure that company's operational priorities
are aligned with total company direction.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports.
- Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff. Takes corrective
action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with
company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state and
local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department as
appropriate.
- Evaluate, recommend, and execute plans for human resources,
capital equipment, and departmental budgets to ensure efficient
distribution capabilities that meets customer service requirements.
We're excited if you have:
- BA/BS in operations, transportation, logistics management,
industrial distribution, or a related field.
- 7+ years of related experience is required, including
warehousing and logistics management experience covering parcel,
ocean, air, truck, and LTL transportation. Also, experience in
inventory management and information technology, global trade,
government affairs, and International Standards Organization and
Aerospace experience is required.
- Ability to think strategically and to envision and balance
"big-picture" priorities.
- Business, managerial, leadership and strategic thinking skills
for planning and managing department, staff, budgets, projects,
etc.
- Experience with FTZ certification for networking with importers
and exporters.
- Organizational skills for organizing programs, people,
projects, etc.
- Oral and written communications skills for communicating, and
building relationships, with extensive internal and external
customers.
- Analytical skills for analyzing strengths and weaknesses of
warehouse operations, logistics, and assembly operations
- Teamwork skills to encourage cooperation within the operations
and logistics department and throughout the TTI organization.
- ISO/AS knowledge for ensuring quality standards are met.
