Benjamin Moore & Company is seeking a Regional Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Programs Manager to systematically oversee, and execute both corporate and regional programs and processes supporting the delivery of the EHSS Strategic Plan and best-in-class EHSS performance. The position will reside in the Dallas, TX area.Position SummaryThe Regional EHSS Program Manager is responsible for helping to drive improved safety culture and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and internal corporate standards by assisting the Corporate EHSS Operations team with standardized EHS&S programs and processes execution to deliver the EHSS Strategy and Key Objectives. The position will also oversee EHSS programs at multiple distribution sites across the U.S (including Lewisville, TX and Aurora, CO) and provide local site leadership with program management, technical oversight, and functional expertise.ResponsibilitiesThe Regional EHSS Manager will report to the Corporate EHSS Director- Operations and will have the following responsibilities not limited to:

  • Standardized management and rollout of EHS&S programs and processes across the Supply Chain in alignment with the EHSS Strategy and implementation plan.
  • Oversee/implement/manage key EHSS projects and programs in support or alignment with the EHSS Strategy, Key Objectives, and Strategic Initiatives.
  • Oversee/implement Corporate and local EHSS training programs. Conduct training assessments and manage tracking system to ensure training is conducted as required at site, regional and corporate levels.
  • In coordination with the Corporate EHS&S Compliance team, participate in internal regulatory EHSS site audits.
  • Participate in periodic local site EHS&S inspections and provide necessary follow-up to ensure compliance.
  • Work with Corporate and /or local site leadership on investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) of loss events such as injuries, spills, and near miss hit events and assist with the development and tracking of corrective action plans.
  • Support regulatory compliance, interpretation of regulatory applicability, and interaction with local, state, and federal regulators including negotiation/discussion of remedial activities as a local subject matter expert.
  • Support system to manage process changes / new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that EHSS design specifications and regulations are included.
  • Manage routine safety reports including documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approval.
  • Coordinate communication of EHSS regulatory inspection activity with plant/corporate leadership.Required Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of safety, environmental, engineering or related experience in manufacturing, and or distribution/logistics environment
    • Successful experience leading projects and teams or committees is a must
    • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations and requirements
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal or routine work hours - if needed or as required
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly collaborative spirit with a strong team and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software
