HOYA Vision Care, a Global optical manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Talent Management Director at its North American Headquarters in Lewisville, TX.
SUMMARY:The Human Resources Talent Management Director is responsible for shaping and implementing strategies that will help HOYA develop and retain high-performing employees. The HR Talent Management Manager assists with the development of new strategies, programs, and systems needed to develop and retain employees. This position works closely with management on determining the best training and development strategies.
The HR Talent Management Director's responsibilities include designing employee training programs, building succession plans, crafting an internal promotion process, performance management, and talent acquisition management. This position will also assist with various other Human Resources duties as needed.
SCOPE:North America (US and Canada) and provide support to the LATAM countries
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design and deliver employee training programs (ex. individual, team, skill-based, and management training). - Develop mentoring and coaching sessions for employees. - Support implementation of change management programs - Lead the company's succession planning efforts and work with managers to develop talent development plans. - Develop and maintain strong working relationships with managers and other team members to create a partnership that yields success. - Have a solid understanding of the business and each position. - Design employee promotion policies. - Develop the company's career-pathing program and establish a clear development path for high-potential employees. - Conduct skills gap analyses to determine personnel needs. - Calculate employee engagement metrics, like retention and turnover rates. - Provide team members with direction for leadership and development initiatives. - Assist Corporate HR and management with the creation and updating of job descriptions. - Manage and maintain the company's Oracle HCM System - Talent Management Module - Assist with the development of the company's retention strategy. - Ensuring employee, HR, and Supervisor completion of the company's Onboarding program. - Assist with the completion of HR's Onboarding for HQ employees. - Oversee sourcing and hiring procedures to ensure we attract and select high-potential employees. - Additional HR Projects and administrative duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluation to develop the Talent Management program. Directly manage the Corporate Operations Recruiter and the company's 3rd party recruiting program vendors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
SKILLS: - Proven work experience as Talent Manager or similar role. - Hands-on experience implementing learning and development programs. - Experience with performance management procedures. - Familiarity with Candidate Management Systems and proficiency in HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems required. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong (and current) knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to employment, and equal opportunity. - Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and excel in a high-volume demanding environment. Ability to work overtime, and flexible hours when needed. - Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management and external resources. - Leadership abilities. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a Business-related field required. - SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is strongly preferred. - 5 to 7 years of progressive talent management experience. May include a combination of work experience and education. - Management experience.
