culture.Overview:Holcim US is recruiting for full-time Diesel
Mechanics based in our Mansfield, Alvarado, Hemphill, Blue Mound,
Lewisville & Wylie shops. This position will maintain and repair
heavy construction, automotive equipment, mechanical equipment, and
machinery for our Dallas/Ft Worth Ready Mix Division.What we

& Paternity)Responsibilities:As directed and guided by the
Maintenance Supervisor, the essential duties and responsibilities
of the position include but are not limited to the
following;Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
Provide repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines.
Adjust and repair ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and
steering systems. Maintain and repair chassis, frames, and bodies.
Work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring
instruments, gauges and meters. Lubricate equipment. Maintain and
repair tires, batteries, brakes, and valves. Perform shop
management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts
inventory control; making estimates of material, labor, and
equipment requirements.Maintain an effective system of
communication with supervisors and customers.Maintain a safe and
clean work area.Assist other mechanics as needed.Have basic
computer proficiency and good verbal and written communication
skills.Must have good organizational skills, be able to meet strict
deadlines, and document issues and procedures.Can work in a team
atmosphere and learn new tasksMust be a self-starter and be able to
work unsupervised.Other duties as neededQualifications:High School
diploma or equivalent preferredMust have a valid driver license,
Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred3 years'
experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school
graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions)Physical
Requirements:Requires working outdoors in all types of weather
conditions. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
Must be able to move freely, including ability to stoop, crawl, and
bend at the knees and waist. Must be able to lift 100 pounds
