of our customer first vision. We are looking for a Mechanical
Design Engineer to work at our brand new, state of the art climate
controlled facility located in Lewisville, Texas. The Mechanical
Design Engineer is responsible for mechanical design, development,
and support of new product development initiatives for a wide
variety of clients, products, and projects associated with Battery
and Power electronics. This position develops and designs based on
customer guidelines and specifications. Must be able to develop
solid model product renderings from customer concept parameters.

grow with us! How you will spend your time:
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will utilize SolidWorks in
designing 3-D drawing proposals from raw information, drawings and
specifications.
- Analyze and apportion tolerances on parts to satisfy design
needs while supporting manufacturability.
- Research sources for purchased commercial and fabricated
parts.
- Analyze designs and recommend opportunities for design
improvements.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will work with Engineers and
Technicians to develop and evaluate feasibility of designs.
- Present design and documentation reviews to obtain
feedback.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate design, drawing archives
and revision history using electronic product data management
vaulting software tools.
- Support design and build of designs through final fabrication
documentation.
- Create and maintain mechanical system documentation and execute
Engineering Change Orders for design documentation including solid
models, detailed drawings, bills of materials and purchase
specifications.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing to release new
product introduction packages (NPI packages) including work
instructions, assembly drawings, cable drawings, test fixtures and
tooling requirement.
- Update and maintain manufacturing work instructions,
documentation and test fixtures to ensure drawings and instructions
conform to quality, engineering design and customer
specifications.
- Assist with thermal solutions and testing.
- Work with team members to identify and mitigate risks and
produce manufacturing plans.
- Capable of mentoring others in best in class practices,
procedures and policies. We're excited if you have:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical
Engineering.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong skills with parameterized 3D solid modeling tools,
SolidWorks experience preferred.
- MS Office Suite Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint,
Excel, Word.
- Ability to interface well with customers.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to convert raw information into 3-D proposal and detail
the design.
- Knowledge of ultrasonic and resistance welding in support of
plastic assemblies.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely
manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops
alternative solutions; Technical ability to resolve
mechanical/thermal issues.
