Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial
transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP. This
position ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and
reconciles subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, reconciles
complex balance sheets accounts, prepares financial reports and
flux analysis, and also analyzes current costs, revenues, financial
commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues
and expenses. This role will guide or review the work of support
staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Key
Responsibilities Accounting Operations Guide, review and provide
backup support for AR and AP daily transactions in compliance with
GAAP Produce daily sales and cash report Update chart of accounts
and accounting master data as required Maintain fixed assets, CapEx
and related reporting Summarize and update accounting on production
schedule and inventory status Coordinate reviews and updates of BOM
for costing completeness Own the accounting timeliness, accuracy
and data integrity Assist in improvements of accounting process and
procedures Month-end Process Lead the monthly closing process by
calendar and timeline Ensure closings of functional modules (AR,
AP, Production, Inventory etc.) Reconcile AR, AP, and Inventory
reports with GL Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions
Review and approve monthly schedules (amortization, accruals, etc.)
Prepare and post journal entries Produce balance sheet, income
statement and cash flow statement Preliminary analysis of variances
and fluctuations Financial Reporting and Analysis Develop and
update annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Measure operational
results, financial performance, and provide insights Prepare
costing analysis in support of sales and pricing Assist in updates
of accounting dashboards and metrics Work with procurement and
plant manager to improve inventory management, ensuring accuracy
and minimizing waste Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports
to senior management. Technical Accounting Research on accounting
topics for treatments of complex transactions (ASC 606, ASC 842
etc.) Support preparation of accounting memos for standard
procedures Assist in staff training of accounting techniques
Support annual audit Responsible for statutory reports and
applicable taxes filing Internal Controls and Risk Management
Strive to represent corporate value and roll model Implement cost
control measures to safeguard assets and enhance profitability.
Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting
principles and company policies Identify and mitigate financial
risks. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA track preferred. Minimum of 4
years of experience as a staff or senior accountant in a
manufacturing environment. Demonstrated understanding and
application of GAAP principles in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in financial reporting and financial analysis.
Demonstrated understanding and oversight of AR, AP & PO processes.
Microsoft Business Central ERP system experience and EDI experience
preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of general
ledger accounting and inventory management. Excellent analytical
and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and
ERP systems. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to
work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a
